Sha La Love 03:10
How could I want? How could I want anyone? How could I love?
How could I love? How could I love anyone?
If you’ve been thinking about sha la la love I was thinking about she la la la la la la la la la la la love you How much Do you even love me? I don’t think that you do If you’ve been thinking about sha la la love I was thinking about she la la la la la la la la la la la love you

Well my lines were in knots And my knees were blistered From days searching out the sea There was a desert land There was a drive up north There were pacific eyes With an east coast heart All the scribbles on the napkins I threw away & all the bright red roses I put in a plastic vase Maybe it’s too early - maybe it’s too soon Maybe it’s too early for you Gypsies lost, melted ice I knew I was never right but I said it & I did it anyways Everything’s a spiral There is no denial Maybe you will turn This way someday Maybe it’s too early - maybe it’s too soon Maybe it’s too early for you All the candles lit in August Withstood the falling leaves Of leaves of Autumn & broke through the frost Of the winter To be born again In the spring We’re all born again In the spring

Tomorrow I’ll be burning Like a candle Tonight I’m looking For a spark Before it gets too dark Turn out the lights I’m blinded It’s too bright to see Turn out the lights I’m blinded Gone is the illusion of you & me Do we want to be in love Or do we want to fight? Why do we keep saying things We know that are not right? Turn out the lights!
I’m blinded It’s too bright to see Turn out the lights! I’m blinded Gone is the illusion of you & me You & me you & me you & me Never be Tomorrow I’ll be burning like a candle Tonight I’m looking for a spark Before it gets too dark

You say your mama didn't give you love oh but please don't judge her You suckled on your bottom lip for a tiny bit of comfort so hard to resist what feels like a fated kiss Slowly breathing in romantic cancer every breath is gonna kill you faster A rose in Joan of Arc walked around with a broken heart Here I go fading back to you Don't know why I always seem to Slowly breathing in romantic cancer every breath is gonna kill you faster I used to be your favorite flavor sucked it all down got all you could savor I used to be your favorite flavor sucked me all down got all you could savor Slowly breathing in romantic cancer every breath is gonna kill you faster

You don't believe in love baby You don't believe in you and me What is your philosophy? Is it to kill all divinity? She’s the sorceress of your soul you didn’t know you had Maybe you don’t believe in magic but its all she ever had It’s all she ever had You don't believe in love baby No such thing as loyalty what is your philosophy? Is it to kill all divinity? How can you only believe in a world you can see? What a boring reality Don’t think that life is for me She’s the sorceress of your soul You didn’t know you had Put it away in your memories Maybe someday you’ll be glad

Lowest Low 02:47
Why do you want to be with me? I make people cry It's been proven time and again It's better to just be my friend Because I don't want to take the crazy Things i've seen and put them on to someone Wholesome and pure crystal dreams Baby I went down to the lowest low I know things that I shouldn't know So don't come to me if you're looking for stability I'm an old woman alone in my house drinking tea You can join me if you like I was looking for a soul mate Since I could breathe You can join me if you like I was looking for a soul mate Since I could breathe But he could never find me

All the things you say about them You could easily say about me I am delusional To think this means anything I can’t stop and see This isn’t good for me Chasing after you At unnatural speeds You’re in a relationship but why You kiss other girls and lie It isn’t right but it’s how you feel In your dreams you want to make it real But still I can’t stop and see This isn’t good for me Chasing after you At unnatural speeds I won't get on my knees And I know it probably doesn't mean anything But still I can’t stop and see This isn’t good for me Chasing after you At unnatural speeds

Spent all my money I lost something He told me to come over Bring my guitar my camera He was wearing a maroon jacket I was wearing a vegetable gown Lived in a metallic house We could see our reflections so clearly Cutting into me I spent all my money I lost something That was a big part of me I can't find it anyone else It's hard to realize it's never coming back The way you trace your fingers Over your grandmothers antiques Sends birds down my back I can always feel their wings fluttering Open your eyes and peel away the thorns It's hard to accept weeds now Once you've dwelt in other forms The way the wind pushes your hair is silent Yet there's so much sound And every step you take is a piano key That is pressing down I spent all my money I lost something That was a big part of me I can't find it anyone else It's hard to realize it's never coming back The way you trace your fingers Over your grandmothers antiques Sends birds down my back

Crest fallen and crushed On the brink of a new wave All of the souls you daily save You light the spark and then you Casually turn away You seem to forget that This heart is in flames I'm going to love you past the hesitation in my mind Past the arrow in my heart Past the fire in my soul Past the pain we can't control Take me away on a strawberry beam Wrap me closer in your crow wings Diving deeper in your submarine When I close my eyes I'm seeing things I'm going to love you past the hesitation in my mind Past the arrow in my heart Past the fire in my soul Past the pain we can't control How many others have sat on this canal In the Netherlands Wishing the moon was a balloon for you For you I'm going to love you past the hesitation in my mind Past the arrow in my heart Past the fire in my soul Past the pain we can't control

Your thrill for the exotic has me playing the monkey A minstrel show you dIdn’t know you were offending me The rest was aLL noise to me When I sat on Lookout MountAin dreaming of bIgger things NO One could tap me on the shoulders and ask me to leave When I sat on Lookout Mountain Dreaming of bigger things I’m writing this song for me But we all want visibility Imagine all the Concertos and symphOnies That were lOst - never made it into history The rest was all noise to me When I sat on LooKout Mountain Dreaming of bigger things No one could tap me on the shoulders And ask me to leave When I sat on Lookout Mountain Dreaming of bigger things (x2)

about

“Drawing up a wide range of influences, GLOBELAMP appeals to fans of “lost” ’60s and ’70s folksingers such as Vashti Bunyan or Judee Sill as well as contemporary artists such as Myrkur and Waxahachie. With added flashes of emo and lo-fi music, the appeal broadens, and one is left with an album and an artist that will leave you reeling.” – PopMatters

“With GLOBELAMP, Le Fey brings out the ‘magical’ side of her imagination, conjuring into being faerie and witch-folk songs that have only before existed in her mind or as written poetry in her youth. Yet while Le Fey’s vocals and presentation may be from a fantasy realm, her lyrics are rooted in reality. […] The engaging “Everything’s A Spiral” is a spare, but shining alt-folk tune that glows with Le Fey’s silky acoustic guitar strum and strikes and her airily sweet vocals. Luminous synth notes hover in the background adding even more radiance to the song.” – Stereo Embers

“GLOBELAMP strays far from traditional technique; her quavering voice and outlandish phrasing choices deters the average ear, and draws in a fan-base of those with a taste for underground and experimental work. Regardless of whether or you like or dislike it, GLOBELAMP’s voice rattles like a ghost through listeners cranium long after hearing it.” – College Media Network

“The Big Takeover is pleased to premiere “Sorceress of Your Soul”, a spellbinding dream-folk storyteller. The first half of the tune is more subdued, imbued with acoustic guitar strum, wavering vintage piano notes, and the occasional pull of accordion notes that sounds like warm strings. The second half swells more intensely with rising accordion notes and briskly struck guitar lines, while throughout, Le Fey’s expressive, light, and fluttering vocals move from dreamy to sharp and back again.” – The Big Takeover

Is our fear of getting hurt holding
us back from experiencing one of the
most powerful feelings on earth?
So many people are afraid to let go &
fall madly in love, to let down their defenses
let love over take them.

Sometimes it happens once or twice in our life
& when it ends we get scared of opening up to somebody else again.
Walls of self preservation begin to grow bigger & bigger.
We start believing Love equals Pain.
As though Love is a type of cancer
that must be avoided at all costs.
Sometimes our romantic impulses
can be self destructive to ourselves.
You might find yourself chasing after
someone you know is bad for you,
willing yourself to be blinded.
Sometimes I guess you just have to
learn some lessons the hard way.

Maybe you never realized you were a romantic
until you dated somebody who was quite literally afraid of love.
Maybe you are the person holding back,
viewing love as a cancer to be avoided.
